Pedro Almodóvar ha respondido en la gala de los Goya a un cargo político del partido derechista Vox que tildó a los cineastas de «señoritos» que viven de las ayudas. «Está hablando de estos señoritos que recogemos las subvenciones para después hacer películas muy malas y que no interesan a nadie».
Se refería a Juan García-Gallardo, vicepresidente del gobierno de la región de Castilla y León (noroeste de España), en cuya capital, Valladolid, se han celebrado los premios del cine español en esta edición. El político ha acudido a una gala a la que nunca había asistido un cargo de su formación política.
Un día antes, García-Gallardo arremetió contra quienes tildó de «señoritos que quieren vivir de producir obras cinematográficas que luego no ve nadie a costa de millones y millones de euros que pagan con mucho esfuerzo los contribuyentes españoles», reseña la nota de EFE.
«Hace unas horas, un político que está en esta sala ha hablado de nosotros como de los señoritos que recogen las subvenciones», ha empezado diciendo en clara referencia a García-Gallardo el cineasta manchego, encargado de entregar el premio a mejor película, acompañado de las actrices Penélope Cruz, Cecilia Roth, Marisa Paredes y Antonia Sanjuan.
Antes de anunciar el filme ganador, Almodóvar recordó que la receptora del Goya Internacional Sigourney Weaver, había dicho que «las personas que trabajamos en el cine no podemos ser débiles de corazón».

Y resaltó «lo obvio» y es que el dinero que reciben los cineastas como anticipo lo devuelven «con creces» a través de impuestos, de la seguridad social y de la creación de «miles de puestos de trabajos», finalizó ante los fuertes aplausos del auditorio.
