Patrice Evra revela haber sufrido una violación en su adolescencia

En una entrevista y una autobiografía que será publicada la semana entrante, el ex jugador francés de fútbol Patri ce Evra asegura haber sido víctima de agresión y violación por parte de un profesor, cuando tenía 13 años.

El jugador estrella, quien fue miembro del equipo de Francia y jugador del Manchester United y de la Juventus, reveló los hechos en una entrevista concedida al Times, en el marco de la publicación de su autobiografía.

Patrice Evra, de 40 años, afirmó que fue víctima de abuso y violación cuando tenía apenas 13 años, y que ha sido mucho más difícil revelar lo ocurrido a su madre que en su libro o en una entrevista.

«Evidentemente, se quedó muy impactada«, explicó al diario británico. «Fue un momento difícil para mí y todavía no se le conté a algunos de mis hermanos y hermanas, o a amigos cercanos«, añadió.

El defensa, nacido en Dakar, indicó que había decidido hacer público este asunto como forma de ayudar a otros niños o jóvenes en situación similar.

“Cuando escribí el libro, no conté toda la historia, porque tenía miedo y vergüenza de lo que la gente pudiera pensar. Pero ahora, he decidido decirlo, porque no quiero que otros niños tengan vergüenza de ellos mismos, o que piensen que no tienen valor”, dijo.

Evra no presentó denuncia contra su agresor, que según contó era uno de sus profesores.

«Lo primero que mi madre me dijo es que si no lo hacía, ella lo haría, que si estaba todavía vivo ella lo iba a matar. Pero yo he enterrado esto tan profundo dentro de mí que no he pensado en presentar denuncia«, afirmó.

Con estas revelaciones, Evra rompe el silencio en un medio, el futbol, donde los niños y adolescentes temen que este tipo de acusaciones afecte sus carreras.

“Vivir con esto ha sido muy difícil, me arrepiento de no haber hablado antes, porque habría podido ayudar a mucha gente. Estoy harto de la masculinidad toxica. Para mi padre, llorar era para los débiles. Perdí a mi hermano, perdí a amigos, y nunca lloré. Mi madre me dijo: “Un día, terminarás explotando”.
