Papá de Britney Spears quiere recuperar la custodia

La paz y tranquilidad aún parece estar muy lejos en la vida de Britney Spears. La cantante no se ha repuesto de las declaraciones recién publicadas por su hermana, Jamie Lynn Spears en su libro Things I Should Have Said, y ahora se enfrenta a una notificación nada grata de parte del abogado de su padre, James Spears. Y es que, según informan medios locales, James podría estar trabajando junto a su equipo legal para recuperar la tutela legal de Britney, junto a la gestión de sus decisiones y bienes.

Alex Weingarten, abogado de James, habría enviado el lunes pasado un mensaje vía mail a Mathew Rosengart, representante de Britney. En él, solicita programar una fecha para citar a la cantante para dar testimonio bajo juramento. “Le escribimos para informarle que tenemos la intención de que su cliente declare y nos gustaría discutir una fecha de mutuo acuerdo para realizar la declaración”, informa Page Six sobre el mail en cuestión.

El mensaje también destaca que Jamie no ha hecho tal declaración, a pesar de que el abogado de Britney lo solicitó en dos ocasiones, mismas que se negó: “Por supuesto, también discutiremos la programación de la declaración del Sr. Spears con usted y trabajaremos en conjunto para encontrar una fecha de mutuo acuerdo para que eso también suceda”.

¿Qué buscan en la declaración de Britney?

En noviembre de 2021, gracias a la labor de abogados, fuertes declaraciones de la cantante y el apoyo social por parte del movimiento #FreeBritney; la también actriz finalmente se deshizo de la tutela de su padre, que empezó en 2008. Contenta por esta victoria personal, Brit ha estado de viaje por el mundo de la mano de su prometido, Sam Asghari, expresando lo bien que se siente de ya no tener que vivir bajo las reglas de su padre, las que aseguró era inhumanas.

Por ello es que causa curiosidad saber qué declaraciones buscan los abogados de James en este nuevo encuentro. Al parecer, Britney tendría que testificar bajo juramento de decir la verdad sobre el uso de sustancias ilegales en los años recientes, así como el cuidado de sus hijos, Jaden y Sean, de 14 y 15 años. Los abogados de la cantante habrían rechazado la petición, tal como lo hizo James en las dos ocasiones en las que ellos le solicitaron una declaración, además de que sería dar paso al señor Spears para recuperar la tutela que tanto trabajo le costó a su hija dejar atrás.
