En mensaje publicado en su cuenta en la red social Twitter, el jefe castrense enfatizó que la movilización realizada por la FANB hacia la frontera apureña para enfrentar a los grupos irregulares armados de Colombia “en lo absoluto resta el ejercicio de soberanía en nuestro territorio, ni desvía la atención en la legítima reclamación sobre la Guayana Esequiba”.
El mensaje de Padrino se suscita luego que se anunciara la movilización de tropas hacia la entidad llanera por parte del jefe del Comando Estratégico Operacional (Ceofanb), Remigio Ceballos, quien en intervención durante reunión con el presidente Maduro, informó que se mantienen desplegados en el territorio apureño para capturar y neutralizar los resquicios de estos grupos terroristas.
