«El mensaje que damos desde aquí a los enemigos de la patria, no se equivoquen, no nos subestimen, no somos desalmados ni desarmados, tenemos bastante alma y espíritu de lucha y tenemos armas para defender la democracia, la revolución bolivariana y la patria, que es de todos los venezolanos», aseguró en un acto de conmemoración de los 162 años de la Batalla de Santa Inés, en el estado Barinas.
Padrino sostuvo que «permanentemente» se cae en el «error» de hacer pensar que «somos débiles, que somos genuflexos, que somos frágiles; yo les digo a las fuerzas que representan la antipatria, no se equivoquen porque Santa Inés está viva».
«Venimos a decirle a Venezuela y al mundo entero que la Fuerza Armada ratifica y se reafirma como antioligárquica, no nos gusta la oligarquía, nos gusta la justicia social, la igualdad, la incorporación del pueblo en sus tareas múltiples de defensa y sus propósitos sociales, de desarrollo humano», añadió.
El ministro indicó que ese es el «legado» del fallecido presidente Hugo Chávez y son las instrucciones «claras y diáfanas» del mandatario Nicolás Maduro.
«Cuando el enemigo imperialista cree avanzar y vencer, siempre el pueblo venezolano, en unión cívico militar, los espera para derrotarlos siempre», apuntó.
Por otra parte, Padrino dijo que el próximo año se «presenta inspirador» para seguir el «camino de victorias de la paz nacional».
