La oposición venezolana expresó este lunes, con motivo del Día del Orgullo Lgbt, su respaldo a esta comunidad en el país, al afirmar que existe hacia ésta una deuda en materia de derechos.
El líder de la oposición, Juan Guaidó, aseguró en un mensaje publicado en su cuenta de Twitter que no se pueden normalizar los crímenes de odio y el hostigamiento contra los miembros de este grupo.
«Somos un país vulnerable por el secuestro de las instituciones. Estamos en deuda con los que luchan por la igualdad y garantía de sus derechos», apuntó.
Asimismo, Henrique Capriles, exgobernador del estado Miranda, dijo que aboga por una sociedad de respeto y tolerancia, para que la orientación e identidad no sean motivos de discriminación.
«Los derechos son para todos. Hoy es un día para reconocer y apoyar la lucha por la igualdad de todas las personas», expresó en su cuenta de Twitter.
En la misma red social, el exdiputado opositor y representante de Guaidó ante la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU), Miguel Pizarro, señaló que durante años la comunidad Lgbt ha sido discriminada por su orientación sexual e identidad de género.
«A pesar de los avances a nivel mundial en materia del reconocimiento de los derechos de esta comunidad, hoy en día en Venezuela estamos muy lejos de vivirlos», añadió.
Agregó que Venezuela cuenta con una comunidad Lgbt con activistas y con aliados a esta causa que luchan constantemente para que sus derechos sean respetados y garantizados. «Ningún ser humano debe ser menospreciado o discriminado», sostuvo/EFE.
