Este lunes 25 de octubre representantes del Laboratorio Farmacéutico SM PHARMA hicieron entrega de un lote de cinco millones de dosis de diversos medicamentos en la sede de BanZulia Maracaibo para continuar con la entrega de fármacos a las personas de la tercera edad y casos especiales en la que atiende el programa bajo la coordinación del Gobernador Omar Prieto Fernández.
Al respecto, José Isea, uno de los gerente de SM Pharma afirmó que la entrega de medicinas fue dirigida por el mandatario regional a quien agradeció por recuperar la institución para potenciar su operatividad, impulsar la producción y abastecer la población con fármacos de primera necesidad en tiempos de pandemia.
Isea detalló que el laboratorio administrado por el ejecutivo regional entregó 149 mil unidades de productos farmacológicos que llegarán a abuelos y abuelas de BanZulia, 4 millones 200 mil dosis distribuidas en 3 millones 200 mil para de antihipertensivos que representan un 80 por ciento de la entrada, 640 mil dosis de hipoglucemiantes y 194 mil dosis de anticoagulantes.
Asimismo, el representante de SM PHARMA destacó que cumpliendo lineamientos del Gobernador Omar Prieto el laboratorio asignará a BanZulia otro lote de 160 mil unidades más con lo que llegarán a 4 millones 800 mil dosis.
También acotó que ya tienen proyectado para el 2022 la entrega de 360 mil unidades de medicamentos con lo cual llegarán a 10 millones 800 mil dosis garantizadas para el primer trimestre del año entrante.
Por su parte, Prieto Fernández destacó que a través de SM PHARMA invierte 10 millones de dólares mensuales en la producción de medicamento para tratar enfermedades como diabetes e hipertensión beneficiando a más de 163 mil zulianos a través de BanZulia, programa que este fin de semana atendió a la población que habita en la parroquia Idelfonso Vásquez de Maracaibo.
