Un nuevo apagón global en internet afectó este jueves los servicios de varias plataformas bursátiles, bancos y aerolíneas, el segundo fallo de este tipo a nivel mundial en los últimos diez días.
El fallo, que parece ya solventado, paralizó brevemente los servicios de las aerolíneas estadounidenses Southwest Airlines y United Airlines, la australiana Virgin Autralia, así como los bancos australianos Commonwealth Bank of Australia y la bolsa de valores de Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Según los medios estadounidenses, el problema se habría originado en la empresa proveedora de servicios de internet Akamai, con sede en Massachusetts (EEUU).
“Akamai está al tanto del problema y trabajando activamente para restaurar los servicios tan pronto como sea posible”, indicó la compañía en su cuenta de Twitter esta madrugada, publica EFE.
Esta caída de Internet se produce después de la sufrida hace diez días por otro de los grandes proveedores globales de servicios digitales, Fastly, que dejó decenas de páginas de internet de todo el mundo fuera de servicio total o parcialmente por unas horas.
