“Eso se veía venir, compadre” le dijo un conocido a Carlos Rodríguez cuando este se enteró del asesinato de su hija, Eskirly Geraldine Rodríguez Rivera, una joven de 25 años de edad que murió luego de ser brutalmente golpeada, al parecer por su pareja, un individuo cuyo nombre se corresponde con las siglas N.R.
De acuerdo con la familia de la víctima, no era la primera vez que el hombre la maltrataba. El señalado agresor tenía un historial de violencia contra ella que incluso lo había obligado a mudarse.
La mujer, que tenía 21 semanas de embarazo, vivía con el supuesto responsable del crimen en el sector La Balgrés de Hoyo de la Puerta, en el municipio Baruta del estado Miranda. Hasta allá se habían mudado hace tres meses luego de que al hombre lo denunciara y desalojara el consejo comunal de una invasión en Caujarito, Charallave, municipio Cristóbal Rojas de Miranda, precisamente por golpear a la joven.
El pasado sábado 4 de septiembre a las 2:00 am, Rodríguez Rivera arribó al Hospital Materno Infantil «Hugo Chávez», en El Valle, municipio Libertador del Distrito Capital, a bordo de un taxi. Había huído de la golpiza que, aseguran, le había propinado su pareja. Esto habría ocurrido mientras sus dos hijos, de 7 y 2 años, estaban dentro de la casa. Fueron los médicos de este centro quienes le avisaron al padre de Rodríguez Rivera lo que había pasado.
La muchacha tenía el hígado destrozado y varios órganos desprendidos, contó el padre a Monitor de Víctimas. El feto también murió durante la paliza. En las actas policiales reza que la causa de la muerte fue «traumatismo por violencia». La joven murió el domingo en la madrugada.
Rodríguez Rivera y el señalado responsable de su muerte habían estado juntos durante los últimos tres años. Él es el padre del niño de 2 años que tenía la pareja y del bebé que venía en camino. La joven era ama de casa y la mayor, junto a un mellizo, de tres hermanos.
El papá de la muchacha les había comprado un rancho en Caujarito, cerca de su casa. Fue mientras hacían vida en ese lugar que le llegaron los primeros comentarios sobre las agresiones que recibía su hija. Cuando el consejo comunal lo denunció por violencia de género, Rodríguez se llevó a su hija a su residencia y le dijo al hombre que no quería verlo por la zona. Pero tiempo después, la pareja se unió nuevamente.
Tras lo ocurrido este familiar de la víctima pidió ayuda a la comunidad de Hoyo de la Puerta para dar con el paradero del supuesto asesino. El hombre fue hallado en un rancho de la zona junto a los dos niños.
En el confinamiento aumentaron los casos
El informe 2020 de Monitor de Víctimas reveló que durante el confinamiento por la pandemia de COVID-19 se exacerbaron las distintas formas de violencia contra la mujer, pues las víctimas que se vieron obligadas a convivir y a quedarse aisladas con sus agresores.
De los 52 homicidios de mujeres que se registraron el año pasado en el Área Metropolitana de Caracas, 17 se consideraron femicidios, debido a que las víctimas fueron asesinadas por su condición de mujeres. Las parejas o exparejas fueron los victimarios en la mayoría de los casos. Entre enero y julio de 2021, nueve mujeres han muerto por violencia de género. Runrunes
