Se cansaron de esperar las comisiones para el traslado y a las 11.30 de la mañana del 15 de abril de 2021 lanzaron a la avenida Andrés Bello, municipio Cabimas del estado Zulia, los cadáveres de Ángel Eduardo Sanabria Ferrer (26) y Juan Carlos Godoy Rodríguez (32), ambos reclusos del Centro de Arrestos y Detenciones Preventivas de la Costa Oriental del Lago, indicó la ONG Una Ventana para La Libertad.
Según los internos, los reclusos murieron entre la noche y la madrugada en su pabellón a consecuencia de la tuberculosis. No hubo traslado de los oficiales de la custodia externa, a cargo del Cuerpo de Policía Bolivariana del Estado Zulia (CPBEZ) para el hospital local y el Eje de Homicidios del Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (CICPC) tardó hasta las 11.50 de la mañana para recoger los cadáveres y trasladarlo a la morgue forense.
Se conoció que Sanabria se encontraba recluido en el penal desde el 18 de febrero de 2017, por el delito de robo agravado, causa penal TJ-1375-17. Mientras que Ferrer ingresó al recinto desde el 19 de enero de 2016 por el delito de robo agravado , causa penal KE-2506-2016.
Los privados de libertad temen que el número de fallecidos aumente en los próximos días.
