Esta denuncia fue formulada por el Coordinador Adjunto de Primero Justicia Zulia, Julio Montoya, quien afirmó que la planta, patrimonio de la región, está siendo «desmantelada y canabilizada» por una «cadena de complicidad policial, militar y civil» que a su juicio están detrás de este negocio.
De igual forma, el dirigente instó a todos los zulianos a defender este acervo cultural y estratégico regional que en otrora llegó a producir hasta 38 mil barriles de petróleo al día.
