El boletín publicado por Monitor Salud refleja que 501 trabajadores sanitarios se contagiaron de COVID-19 durante el mes de mayo.
De acuerdo a los datos recabados durante todo el mes en 74 centros de salud a nivel nacional, dan constancia que hasta ahora la región en la que se registró el mayor número de contagios por COVID-19 durante el quinto mes del año es la región central.
Al menos 216 trabajadores sanitarios de la región central enfermaron con este virus, mientras que en la región oriental se contagiaron 181 personas y 104 en el occidente. Esta cifra representa una pequeña disminución con respecto al mes pasado, cuando se registró el contagio de 511 trabajadores de la salud.
En cuanto a la aplicación de pruebas de despistaje al personal de salud, se mantiene el comportamiento registrado en meses anteriores, ya que no se están haciendo el número de pruebas de despistaje necesarias.
