Ministro israelí: «Irán transfiere armas y petróleo a Venezuela»

El ministro de Defensa israelí, Beny Gantz, denunció hoy que «Irán transfiere armas y petróleo a Venezuela» y que la Fuerza Quds de la Guardia Revolucionaria iraní opera también en Sudamérica.

Si bien Gantz no brindó más detalles sobre estas presuntas operaciones, sí las enmarcó dentro de lo que describió como la «exportación del terrorismo iraní» bajo la directiva del líder supremo Alí Jameneí, reseñó EFE.

La denuncia de hoy tuvo lugar durante una conferencia de política y seguridad en la Universidad Reichman de Israel, en la cual advirtió también que, en 2018, Teherán utilizó drones para «intentar transferir explosivos desde Siria a terroristas» en el territorio palestino ocupado de Cisjordania.

En aquel caso, agregó, vehículos aéreos no tripulados iraníes partieron desde el aeropuerto T4 en Siria cargados con explosivos que, según análisis de inteligencia israelíes, intentaban transferir a milicianos palestinos en Cisjordania.

Por otra parte, enfatizó que Irán utiliza dos bases militares, en la región de Chabahar y en la isla de Qeshm, para realizar ataques marítimos y para almacenar drones.

Esta denuncia llega poco antes del reinicio la semana que viene de las negociaciones entre Irán con el llamado Grupo 5+1, integrado por Estados Unidos, Rusia, China, Francia, Reino Unido y Alemania, para revivir el acuerdo nuclear de 2015, y a las que Israel se opone fervientemente.

Durante la misma conferencia en la que realizó su denuncia Gantz, el primer ministro israelí, Naftali Benet, se refirió a estas negociaciones e indico que «incluso si hay un regreso al acuerdo, Israel no será parte y por ende no estará obligado por él», en clara alusión a la ya repetida amenaza israelí de llevar a cabo un ataque contra Irán para evitar que logre hacerse con armas nucleares.

«El Estado de Israel debe mantener su capacidad de actuar y su libertad de acción, en cada situación y bajo cualquier circunstancia política», agregó Benet.
