El ministro para la Salud, Carlos Alvarado, anunció que a partir del 3 de enero inicia el Plan Nacional de Refuerzo de la vacunación contra la COVID-19, el cual se hará de manera progresiva para las personas que tengan más de seis meses con las dosis de vacunas, según publicación de Venezolana de Televisión.
“De manera progresiva esta jornada de refuerzo se realizará a todos los mayores de 18 años a quienes se les colocó la segunda dosis antes del 30 de julio, es decir, los que tengan más de seis meses de puesta cualquiera de las vacunas. En un primer momento unos 70 mil trabajadores de la salud, quienes están en la primera línea de atención a pacientes COVID”.
Asimismo, detalló que el país cuenta en sus almacenes con seis millones 700 mil dosis de vacunas Sputnik Light y en el mes de enero llegaran al país 12 millones de dosis de vacunas Sinopharm, para garantizar la vacunación de refuerzo en el año 2022.
“Tenemos entonces más de 18 millones de dosis garantizadas para la población, y a partir del segundo trimestre del año estaremos produciendo la vacunas Abdala en cooperación con Cuba”, recalcó el funcionario de la salud.
