Miguel Cabrera está más más cerca de los 3000 hits

Miguel Cabrera conectó par de hits históricos en la derrota de los Tigres de Detroit 5-3 en manos de los Mellizos de Minnesota. Un sencillo en el cuarto episodio y otro más en el sexto se convirtieron en los hits 2925 y 2926 de su carrera.

Con ellos se coloca a 74 de los 3000 y se acerca a uno de Mel Ott, puesto 40 de la lista de mejores bateadores de todos los tiempos.

A pesar de abrir el marcador en el cuarto episodio con jonrón de Eric Hase, a los Tigres se les esfumó la victoria con un ataque en el séptimo inning de los visitantes.

Jonrón solitario de Miguel Sanó, un lanzamiento desviado de José Cisnero y un elevado de sacrificio de Jorge Polanco acabaron con las esperanzas bengalíes.

La victoria fue para J.A. Happ (5-4) luego de lanzar ocho innings de ochos hits, tres carreras y ocho ponches.

Por su parte el revés se lo llevó Tarik Skubal (5-8) al permitir seis hits y cinco carreras en seis entradas.
