Microsoft anuncia la compra de Nuance por 19 mil 700 millones de dólares

El gigante tecnológico Microsoft anunció este lunes la compra de la firma de servicios de inteligencia artificial (IA) y de reconocimiento de voz Nuance Communications por 19 mil 700 millones de dólares, la segunda mayor operación de su historia.

En un comunicado, Microsoft explicó que la adquisición de Nuance Communications, con la que inició una colaboración en 2019, le permitirá ofrecer “nuevas capacidades de la nube y de inteligencia artificial en el sector sanitario”, además de ganar terreno en ese mercado.

Nuance provee la capa de IA en el punto de entrega de la sanidad y es un pionero en la aplicación de la IA corporativa en el mundo real. La IA es la prioridad más importante de la tecnología y la sanidad es un aplicación más urgente”, dijo el consejero delegado de la firma, Satya Nadella.
