Con la izada de la Bandera Nacional iniciaron a primeras horas de la mañana de este lunes los actos conmemorativos al 211 aniversario del 19 de abril de 1810, fecha en la que se dio el primer grito de independencia de Venezuela.
El acto protocolar estuvo liderado por la ministra de Interiores, Justicia y Paz, Carmen Meléndez; y los titulares de las carteras para la Cultura, Ernesto Villegas; para la Mujer y la Igualdad de Género, Carolys Pérez, entre otros.
“Hoy, día de Declaración de la Independencia, día en que nació la patria, nos mantenemos firmes, con mucha energía, con la llama ardiendo por dentro de mantenernos libres, soberanos e independientes”, expresó Meléndez.
Asimismo, aseguró que en esta fecha se deben recordar todos los ideales de los próceres venezolanos que lucharon por la independencia de Venezuela.
