Grave, muy grave. No es solo pandemia. Los médicos se enfrentan al hampa. En el último mes pululan las amenazas y las llamadas telefónicas. Los amedrentan, los amenazan, les piden dinero a cambio de protección.
“Le habla Wilexis Carreño. Cómo está usted. Personalmente no nos conocemos, pero le conozco por recomendación de personas que me hablaron muy bien de usted. Dígame si le puedo llamar o por notas de voz, como mejor le parezca”, reseñó El Nacional.
La frase corresponde a uno de los tantos mensajes enviados por WhatsApp a los médicos en la Gran Caracas, Los Teques y Guarenas incluidas. La voz suena tranquila y segura. El mensaje presagia lo que vendrá: un intento de extorsión y amenazas a su entorno. Una y otra vez se repite. Solo cambia el destinatario.
“Si ha escuchado hablar de mí sabrá quién soy, si no averigüe por las redes sociales”, señala lapidario, sabedor de que invocar el nombre de Wilexis genera de inmediato conmoción y zozobra.
El mismo sujeto se hace pasar por el Coqui, y la llamada dice que se hace de la Cota 905, Miguel Santana, líder de los Tupamaros, o Cristian Batista, de la Unión Bolivariana de Trabajadores. En todos esos casos se trata de la misma persona. También han amenazado a empresarios y comerciantes.
En otras llamadas son distintos los responsables, siempre identificándose con personas que pueden generar crispación en su interlocutor. El guion es el mismo.
En los grupos de WhatsApp de médicos y personal de salud se han incrementado las denuncias sobre acosos y extorsiones, esta en particular. Señalan que en los últimos meses suman cada vez más y que, si bien muchos han optado por no hacerles caso, empiezan a preocupar por la frecuencia con la que se han presentado.
“Muchos colegas en Caracas los llamaron por su nombre, con toda confianza, y les ofrecen protección a cambio de dólares con la amenaza de por medio”, indicó un médico en un grupo.
Los extorsionadores no tienen preferencia por operadora y, en algunos casos, el teléfono tiene un número del extranjero, casi siempre de Colombia. Aparecen como afiliados a una cuenta de empresa.
Prefieren llamar a mujeres, aunque muchos hombres han recibido los mensajes.
“Tenemos un problema”
“Lo que quiero hablar con usted es algo bastante fuerte, delicado y quiero brindarle la colaboración”, continúa la persona que se identifica como Wilexis. En un primer momento intenta sonar amistoso y ganar la confianza del que escucha.
“Sabrá que yo tengo el control y el dominio de más de 27 barriadas en Petare, incluyendo Guarenas y Guatire. A mi mando tengo más de 1.700 hombres armados que están esperando instrucciones de mi parte. En este momento tengo personal cerca de su casa, que están ahí para brindarle protección”, indica el personaje que usurpa la identidad de Wilexis, ya en tono intimidante.
“Tenemos un problema: hay una pareja, personas mayores, conocidos por usted, que se acercaron a uno de los muchachos que trabaja conmigo a hacer una propuesta en su contra. Yo no sé qué problemas hayan tenido, pero esta gente nos está ofreciendo 3.000 dólares para nosotros aparentemos un robo y le metamos unos tiros, a usted o alguno de su familia. Esta gente nos dio fotografías de usted, de su casa, de la gente que vive con usted, nos dio fotografías del consultorio, de lo que hace y no hace, de dónde la llevan sus zapatos”, agrega.
“Nosotros lo que queremos es evitarle una tragedia, porque esta gente, así como nos llegó a nosotros puede llegarle al Coqui o a algún otro para que haga el trabajo, cosa que queremos evitar”, señala.
Brindarle protección a los médicos
Los delincuentes aseguran que lo que quieren es brindarles protección y resguardo a los médicos. “No queremos pedirle la plata que está pagando esta gente, por supuesto que no, porque a nosotros no nos interesan sus reales”, asegura.
“Mire lo que le voy a decir: mientras usted colabore con nosotros yo le garantizo el bienestar y el de su familia. Si usted se niega a colaborar con nosotros yo le voy a agarrar un familiar y me lo voy a traer para José Félix (Ribas) y se lo voy a poner en una videollamada. No estoy amenazando. El que advierte no es traidor. No quiero errores, no quiero echadera de paja, no quiero que recurra al gobierno ni a ninguna otra persona. Quiero que nos entendamos nosotros dos de buenas maneras”, recalca.
“Yo quiero que su familia a partir del día de hoy entre en una lista de protegidos y resguardados, en un anillo de seguridad, donde le voy a poner personal, unos cuatro muchachos para le cuiden las 24 horas del día, los 365 días del año, por un año, con un único y solo aporte: le vamos a pedir 1.000 dólares. Si a usted le interesa su familia y su bienestar, y quiere evitarse problemas va a colaborar con nosotros”, explica.
Y el dato siguiente es que la transferencia puede ser en bolívares o dólares y que incluso si la persona no cuenta con recursos suficientes puede hablar con el sujeto para llegar a un acuerdo. “¡No se me vaya a ahogar en un vaso de agua, la quiero ayudar!”, indica.
Mensaje final
El extorsionador, finalmente, advierte al médico que si se deja llevar por los nervios y comete un error habrá consecuencias. “Vamos a entendernos de buenas maneras para que nadie salga perjudicado y no pasemos a mayores”, alerta.
“Si usted decide bloquearme el número yo le mando a buscar, si usted decide recurrir al gobierno yo le agarro un familiar, así de sencillo”, concluye.
