El Colegio de Médicos del estado Zulia publicó un comunicado a propósito del Día Nacional del Médico en el que denuncian la falta de protección falta de protección y el abandono por parte del Estado venezolano.
“Este nuevo Día Nacional del Medico consigue a los profesionales de la Medicina más desprotegidos y abandonados por parte del Estado que nunca”, indica el texto firmado por Juan Carlos Velazco, presidente del encargado del medio.
El documento indica que los problemas que venían acumulándose y hoy son más serios y graves, a lo cual se unió la pandemia de COVID-19 que exacerbó la “difícil” situación que viven los galenos y también el resto del sector salud.
Velazco afirma que las condiciones existentes en los hospitales del Zulia, incluidos los que el Gobierno califica como centinelas, “no han mejorado” y son críticas por las gravísimas carencias que aún subsisten para poder brindar una adecuada atención a los enfermos por COVID-19 y el resto de pacientes que acuden por cualquier otra dolencia.
“Las emergencias siguen desabastecidas de los más elementales recursos que permitan a los médicos realizar sus actividades para salvar vidas, que muchas veces se pierden porque no se tienen a mano los equipos y medicamentos apropiados para un acto médico con todas las de ley”, aseguró.
El gremialista zuliano añadió que en la mayoría de los hospitales del Zulia persisten los problemas de infraestructura que inciden en el buen trabajo que debe desarrollar un profesional de la salud. “Hay problemas de agua potable, problemas con el funcionamiento de los ascensores, problemas de tipo eléctrico y otros que no tienen ninguna razón de ser y solo son posibles por la desidia característica de este régimen”.
Denunció que el Gobierno no quiere atender las exigencias y reclamos del gremio médico para asignar unos salarios decentes a los galenos para que lleven una vida digna al lado de su grupo familiar, situación que lleva a un elevado grupo de profesionales, que ya suman más de 20 mil en todo el país, a irse a otras latitudes donde si es reconocido y bien remunerado el trabajo médico.
“El régimen consiguió lo que se había propuesto como era hacer que todos fuéramos iguales, pero de libres, hacia abajo, en lugar de promover el crecimiento socioeconómico como era lo normal en este país antes de la llegada de este proyecto de destrucción llamado revolución socialista”, expresó Velazco.
Dentro del contexto de la pandemia
Al abordar el tema de la pandemia que ataca en estos momentos a Venezuela, así como al resto del mundo, los problemas de los galenos y otros profesionales de la salud, que ya suman cerca de 400 muertes a causa del coronavirus en todo país, aumentaron.
“La mayoría de estas muertes, agrego Velazco, tienen su razón de ser en la falta de equipos de bioseguridad médica que se requieren para trabajar en casos como este de la pandemia, lo cual ha hecho que se contagiaran en su noble tarea de atender enfermos”, añadió.
Criticó que las exigencias hechas por el gremio al Gobierno para que los especialistas reciban los equipos de bioseguridad que requieren por estar expuestos a una mayor carga viral.
“Ahora vemos también como Maduro anunció la llegada al país de un lote muy pequeño de vacunas y entre los receptores nombró a los miembros de la AN oficialista, activistas de la revolución y en último lugar a los profesionales de la salud”, reprechó Velazco, quien añadió que se discrimina al gremio en Zulia cuando sólo se suministran vacunas al personal sanitario del Hospital Universitario de Maracaibo.
El gremio zuliano informó que en la región van más de 60 médicos muertos a causa de la pandemia. “Estas lamentables muertes se hubieran podido evitar si el régimen hubiera actuado diligentemente para dotar de los equipos de seguridad a los profesionales de la salud”, agregó el encargado del gremio médico zuliano.
Denunció la manipulación de las cifras que ofrece el régimen sobre las incidencias de la pandemia y señaló que hay opacidad lo cual atribuye a la intención del Gobierno de utilizar la información con fines políticos. “Quieren hacer ver que controlan la situación de la pandemia mientras otros países con excelentes sistemas de salud no han podido. Es querer dar sensación de eficiencia que no es cierta”.
