La opositora venezolana María Corina Machado, propuso este miércoles «una gran elección popular» para elegir un nuevo liderazgo contra el oficialismo.
«Esta es mi propuesta: convoquemos a una gran elección popular para elegir el liderazgo que conduzca a Venezuela hasta su libertad. Hagamos una gesta épica, sin (Consejo Nacional Electoral) CNE, sin militares que convirtieron los centros de votación en cuarteles«, dijo Machado en un video publicado, a través de sus redes sociales.
La política hizo esta propuesta tras las elecciones locales y regionales del pasado domingo; en las que el chavismo obtuvo una amplia victoria con la participación del 42,26 % del electorado y en las que participó el bloque opositor, con escasas excepciones. Cabe destacar, que en esta estuvo una misión de observación de la Unión Europea (UE).
No obstante, Machado consideró que el «70 % que no participó» y aseguró que «nadie se cree ni las cifras de participación ni los resultados de las adjudicaciones» de los vencedores; si bien no detalló cómo obtuvo el dato de 70 % de abstención ni argumentó su tesis.
Machado sobre elecciones regionales
Afirmó que quienes no acudieron a votar, como ella misma, no lo hicieron «por indiferencia» o porque no les «guste votar», sino en un «acto de conciencia y coraje cívico».
Machado criticó a los opositores que acudieron a las elecciones, a los que calificó como «jefes de la derrota«, por estar «jactándose porque llegaron de segundo o de tercero» en la votación.
«Una vez más pretenden culpar el pueblo de Venezuela de su fracaso, ya basta, respeten al pueblo», exigió.
«Tenemos que cambiarlos. ¿Quieres que continúe el G-4 y esos cuatro partidos o quieres algo totalmente distinto?», preguntó en referencia a los cuatro mayores partidos de la oposición, Primero Justicia, Un Nuevo Tiempo, Voluntad Popular y Acción Democrática, que lideraron el antichavismo en los últimos años.
A su juicio, «para avanzar» es necesaria «una nueva dirección política» que «no se doblegue» y «traicione».
