Tras la llegada de una delegación de alto nivel de EEUU al país, John Magdaleno, politólogo y director de la consultora Polity, aseguró que el diálogo de México es la exigencia de contrapartida que hizo el gobierno de Biden a Maduro para llegar empezar el camino hacia un acuerdo entre ambos países.
El experto indicó que dicha delegación planteó algunos posibles temas de negociación, entre ellos el del petróleo, sin embargo explicó que falta esperar las concesiones mutuas para saber que pasará.
Destacó que apenas se está explorando una reanudación de las negociaciones, así que se debe esperar a ver cómo se desarrollan los acontecimientos.
“No todo está resuelto, no se puede hablar de una garantía de fiel cumplimento por parte del gobierno de EEUU y el venezolano”, añadió.
El politólogo planteó que lo expuesto por esta delegación el día sábado pudo haber cubierto los objetivos para ambas partes.
Magdaleno insistió en que los intereses son cruciales en la política exterior de los países y que el asunto de Alex Saab era un pretexto.
“Soy de los que piensa que el gobierno abandona el diálogo de México por la proximidad de las elecciones en espera de los resultados”, señaló.
También resaltó que las sanciones del mundo a Rusia pueden afectar severamente las finanzas de Venezuela y PDVSA.
“Aunque el petróleo venezolano no supla por completo la demanda de crudo ruso a EEUU, algo están negociando”, acotó.
El especialista recalcó que el gobierno tiene unas prioridades urgentes que deben resolver para seguir en el poder.
“Si Maduro desea una nominación para 2024, debe mejorar el desempeño económico del país y al menos alcanzar que se suavicen las sanciones”, dijo.
Explicó que ante un conflicto internacional de gran envergadura, Rusia amenaza a la UE y es natural que Estados Unidos busque cambiar su política exterior.
