El presidente venezolano, Nicolás Maduro, dijo este martes que Venezuela estuvo 14 meses “sin vender una gota de petróleo” de lo que culpó a las sanciones de Estados Unidos, así como al expresidente Donald Trump de perjudicar la economía del país.
Según explicó el mandatario en un acto de Gobierno transmitido por el canal estatal Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), “el periodo de cuatro años de (Gobierno de) Donald Trump” hizo que Venezuela perdiera “99 % del ingreso nacional en relación a 2013”.
“Sancionó todas las riquezas de Venezuela y a todas las empresas de Venezuela”, agregó.
Estados Unidos impuso en enero de 2019 sanciones económicas a la petrolera estatal venezolana, la principal fuente de dinero del país, lo que ha restringido la capacidad de maniobra financiera de la compañía, algo que el Gobierno de Nicolás Maduro ha ponderado como una “campaña de asfixia”.
Ingreso vulnerado
“En donde más nos vulneraron es en el ingreso, en el valor del bolívar y allí es donde estamos enfocados en recuperar, en recuperar los ingresos nacionales”, añadió.
En febrero, el ministro de Petróleo de Venezuela, Tarek El Aissami, dijo que la estatal PDVSA tiene un “plan” que le permitirá elevar su bombeo de crudo a 1,5 millones de barriles diarios y revertir así la crisis de producción por la que atraviesa el país.
“Nosotros, presidente, le juramos que este año Pdvsa va a cerrar su producción (de 2021) en un millón y medio de barriles de crudo, es un plan que hicimos junto a los trabajadores”, subrayó.
De acuerdo con el funcionario, Venezuela produjo en 2020 una media de 400 mil barriles de petróleo por día tras pasar de un bombeo de 2,4 millones de barriles diarios en 2015./EFE.
