El presidente de Bielorrusia, Alexandr Lukashenko, anunció hoy la ilegalización de todas las organizaciones no gubernamentales opositoras, a las que acusó de recibir financiación extranjera y preparar un golpe de Estado en el país.
«No hay perdón para los traidores. Aquellos que intentaron dar un vuelco al país (…) no tendrán perdón. Los detectamos por decenas y por cientos. Ilegalizamos todas las organizaciones financiadas desde el exterior y que preparaban una rebelión y un golpe de Estado», afirmó, citado por la agencia BELTA.
Según Lukashenko, estas organizaciones «jamás serán restablecidas» aunque pidan recuperar el estatus legal.
Con ello, el presidente bielorruso, considerado el último dictador de Europa, puso punto final al acoso de todas las ONG opositoras que le plantaron cara tras las elecciones presidenciales de agosto de 2020, en las que fue declarado ganador por amplio margen, resultado calificado de fraudulento por la oposición y Occidente.
No conforme con reducir a las ONG, el mandatario, se centró en los funcionarios bielorrusos y afirmó que Bielorrusia necesita «más que nunca» ser un país monolítico con dirigentes que cumplan bien sus funciones.
