El opositor venezolano Leopoldo López insistió hoy en Barranquilla que el precandidato a la Presidencia colombiana de izquierdas Gustavo Petro tiene vínculos con la «dictadura de Nicolás Maduro».
«En momentos electorales, esa cercanía (de Petro) con Maduro y con la dictadura de Venezuela se hacen más tibias para que no tengan un impacto electoral, pero ya nosotros hemos visto claramente las vinculaciones que hay directamente con la dictadura de Venezuela», aseguró López a la prensa, tras su intervención en el Congreso Mundial de Juristas.
Para López, las elecciones de Colombia del año que viene son determinantes «porque es la coyuntura para seguir por el camino democrático, del respeto a las leyes y de la posibilidad de solucionar los problemas».
«Creo que los colombianos tienen que ver con mucha seriedad lo que ha ocurrido en Venezuela, tiene que preguntarles a los dos millones ochocientos mil venezolanos que están aquí, cada uno de ellos es un testimonio, cada uno de ellos tiene su propia historia de cómo se sufre una dictadura», agregó.
Según López, muchos venezolanos que están en Colombia huyendo votaron por Hugo Chávez en su momento e incluso alcanzaron a votar por Nicolás Maduro, pero «hoy se arrepienten».
«Pregúntenles cómo fue que se instaló en Venezuela la dictadura del desastre y de la tragedia», alegó.
El opositor añadió que «incluso hoy Venezuela y la dictadura de Venezuela tienen estrechos vínculos con el narcotráfico colombiano, con el cartel (mexicano) de Sinaloa, con el crimen organizado del mundo entero. Eso es una realidad que ha afectado a millones de venezolanos que han tenido que salir de nuestro país».
