El Alcalde Leonidas González inscribió formalmente ante el CNE su candidatura a la reelección de cara a las elecciones regionales y municipales del 21-N.
El acto en el que reinó el entusiasmo y el apoyo masivo al candidato del Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela y el Gran Polo Patriótico Simón Bolívar, se llevó a cabo la tarde de este miércoles en medio de una gran marea roja que partió desde la Av 34 con Miranda hasta la sede de la Junta Electoral Municipal ubicada en el liceo Dr. Francisco Antonio Zea.
Desde allí González expresó: «con la inscripción de nuestra candidatura estamos ratificando la victoria del pueblo de Lagunillas. En compañía del pueblo, de los partidos aliados, de quienes se midieron conmigo en un proceso interno del partido, un proceso histórico y democrático, hoy seguimos apostando a la construcción de un proyecto basado en lo social, en lo humano, en la atención de los más vulnerables. Fue el pueblo el que decidió que hoy estuviéramos aquí defendiendo una vez más nuestros ideales revolucionarios y defendiendo el legado de nuestro Comandante Chávez. Ahora vamos en unión de nuestras bases rumbo a la victoria perfecta del 21-N de la mano de nuestro gobernador Omar Prieto; vamos por una victoria contundente y popular».
El Alcalde y candidato a la reelección Leonidas González estuvo acompañado por los exprecandidatos a la Alcaldía de Lagunillas por el PSUV Amable Díaz y Jesús Ramos, quienes le dieron un contundente espaldarazo.
Al acto también asistieron diputados, concejales, militantes del PSUV y el GPPSB, Clap, Ubbch y diferentes movimientos sociales.
