En septiembre de 2020, la sobreviviente de la agresión sexual, que tenía una visa de trabajo, también fue despedida de sus servicios por el acusado, después de 6 años en la empresa.
En diciembre, la mujer presentó una denuncia en el portal electrónico del CID, denunciando el delito de violación y agresión y el 4 de enero presentó una denuncia en persona ante la sucursal estatal del CID en Gandhinagar pero no se registró.
Posteriormente en enero se filtraron en redes sociales imágenes íntimas de la víctima con el hermano del imputado.
La mujer presentó una segunda denuncia esta vez ante la comisaría local por difundir imágenes tomadas sin el consentimiento o conocimiento de la persona fotografiada y las disposiciones de la Ley de Tecnología de la Información.
El abogado de la víctima, Rahil Jain, relevó que la victima fue violada el 27 de agosto por Bipin Tamboli y su hijo Vaibhav Tamboli, de Tamboli Castings Limited. La víctima entró en depresión y fue atendida por los médicos. Un semana después fue despedida, argumentando que “sus servicios ya no eran necesarios”.
La venezolana llegó a Timboli Castings Ltd, con sede en Bhavnagar, como pasante en 2014, donde le ofrecieron un trabajo después de completar sus dos años de pasantía.
El 30 de agosto de 2020, la compañía apareció en las noticias cuando se informó que Vaibhav fue presuntamente apuñalado por su hermano Mehul durante la reunión del directorio de la compañía. Se informó que Mehul estaba descontento con la propuesta de de sacarlo de la junta.
