Esta vez no hubo especiales de Discovery Chanel para calmar los nervios de las mascotas, pero es que tampoco tenía que haber, pues no era fin de año y las detonaciones que venían de la Cota 905 no eran precisamente fuegos artificiales y pirotecnias, eran balas reales que matan y emiten un sonido seco, sin eco, pero mortal.
Eso era lo escuchaban los perros y gatos que, aunque cueste creerlo, normalmente forman una parte fundamental en las familias venezolanas, que aman, pero también sufren por esos ruidos que no le hallaban sentido.
Tal es el caso de la señora Omaira Martínez y Coqueta, su Poodle, a quien describe como su otra niña y que no entendía lo que ocurría en el cerro por lo que sólo corría y ladraba a la ventana con vista hacia la Cota 905, epicentro del enfrentamiento, en Caracas.
Aunque ella, ni ninguno de los 360 habitantes de las residencias Alto Alegre, en El Paraíso, resultó herido, las crisis de nervios invadieron cada apartamento y los animales no escaparon de eso.
“Hubo que sedarla. La perrita yo pensé que se moría”, comentó la dueña de Coqueta, quien agregó que vive sola con ella y otro perro que no prestó mayor atención a lo que ocurría.
El viernes, cuando inicia el despliegue policial, Coqueta fue sedada nuevamente, pero no sería el único can que necesitaría de tranquilizantes. Al menos otros tres que viven en el edificio recibieron pastillas.
“Todos los perros se alteraron. Tengo unas vecinas que ellas rescatan animales y ellas me dieron una pastilla para tranquilizarla”, señaló.
Y agregó que a pesar de la situación está calmada estos días, Coqueta permanece muy “nerviosita”.
Aumento de la dependencia
Yanira Marquina, es otra vecina que tuvo que acudir a los sedantes, contó a Foco Informativo que en su caso son tres los perros los que sufrieron por el tiroteo, una Pinscher llamada Kira a la cual sedó también porque al sobresalto resultó lastimada en una patica.
“Eran tanto los nervios que teníamos que no conseguía la pastilla porque era tanto plomo que todos estábamos en la sala porque no sabes hacia donde se dirigen por eso tuve que pasar por el grupo a ver quién me dada las pastillas”, explicó Yanira.
En ese momento salió al apartamento de una conocida que le regaló las pastillas y se las entregó a otros tres dueños de mascotas, entre ellas la señora Omaira.
“Quedó resentida y ahorita no es como es ella. Detrás de uno para todo lados, si voy al baño, para la cocina, está muy callada, no quiere ladrar cuando ellas es ladrador”, aseguró.
La mayor preocupación era que sufriera un infarto debido a su tamaño.
“Ella es camorrera y peleona, pero mira cómo está ahorita, no quiere ladrar, está cohibida, asustada”, detalló Marquina quien aseguró que de continuar la situación así la llevaría al veterinario.
