Afirmó que actualmente muchos países de América reportan el aumento de contagios , entre ellos «Venezuela reportó 89 % de incremento de nuevos casos».
En cuanto a los fallecimientos Ugarte apuntó que se ha registrado un incremento del 37 %.
Ugarte recalcó que sea cual sea la variante que este ocasionando el rebrote en el mundo, «es un tema de salud pública» y deben tomarse las medidas necesarias para frenar al virus.
