Random House Children’s Books anunció el martes que “The Bench” será publicado el 8 de junio.
Será ilustrado por el reconocido artista Christian Robinson y Meghan narrará la edición audiolibro. El libro presenta a un grupo diverso de padres e hijos y los momentos que comparten, de acuerdo con un comunicado anunciando su publicación.
Surgió de un poema que le escribió Meghan a Enrique por su primer Día del Padre tras el nacimiento de Archie, señala la misiva.
“Ese poema se convirtió en esta historia”, dijo Meghan. “Christian lo matizó en hermosas y etéreas ilustraciones de acuarela que capturan la calidez, la alegría y el consuelo de la relación entre padres e hijos de todo tipo; esta representación era especialmente importante para mí, y Christian y yo trabajamos estrechamente para retratar este lazo especial a través de un lente inclusivo”.
El libro es uno de varios proyectos que Meghan y Enrique han anunciado desde que renunciaron a sus deberes reales a comienzos de 2020. Meghan, la actriz conocida previamente como Meghan Markle, narró la película de Disney sobre naturaleza “Elephant” y la pareja tiene un contrato con Netflix. Su primer proyecto para el servicio de streaming se enfoca en los Juegos Invictus, una competencia para personal militar con enfermedades y lesiones así como veteranos que ha sido apoyado por Enrique.
Archie cumple 2 años el jueves. Meghan y Enrique esperan a su segundo hijo, una niña, para más adelante este año.
Robinson escribió e ilustró “Another” y “You Matter” además de ganar reconocimientos Caldecott y Coretta Scott King por su arte en “Last Stop on Market Street”.
