La Justicia española rechazó que la Policía investigue supuestos pagos que según el exgeneral venezolano Hugo Armando Carvajal, preso en España, efectuó el Gobierno de Venezuela a anteriores líderes del partido de izquierda Podemos.
Fuentes fiscales confirmaron este miércoles que la Audiencia Nacional española estimó un recurso de la Fiscalía contra la investigación encargada a la Policía por un juez de este órgano judicial, reseña EFE.
La Fiscalía había impugnado parcialmente las diligencias solicitadas por el juez; al considerar que no existe una base suficiente para que se investiguen cuentas de varias empresas citadas por Carvajal.
No obstante, según estas fuentes, la Audiencia Nacional mantiene abierto que la Policía investigue la veracidad de los hechos relatados por los testigos que Carvajal pidió al juez que tomara declaración en esta causa, que se mantiene secreta.
