El médico infectólogo venezolano, Julio Castro, aseguró que al país todavía le quedan 10 o 12 semanas de pico pandémico, además, recordó que no bajaron los contagios desde hace 14 semanas.
“La semana del 30 de mayo tuvimos la segunda cifra más alta de casos desde el inicio de la pandemia”, añadió.
Advirtió que se avecina una tercera ola de contagios y los ciudadanos deben prepararse.
Enfatizó que los microambientes no determina la situación de todo el país.
“Pensar que porque en tu ciudad no se oyen tantos casos ya bajó la curva, es errado”, acotó.
El experto explicó que hay más actividad epidémica en el occidente del país en estos momentos.
Destacó que, a pesar del subregistro, la curva de las cifras oficiales refleja lo que está pasando en el país.
“La forma de la curva que tienen los registros oficiales es igual a la que tenemos un grupo de médicos de todo el país”, señaló.
Castro resaltó que el país está en una situación más larga y grande que la primera onda epidémica, detalla Mundo UR.
Alertó que no se puede esperar que los inicios de estas vacunas vayan a generar un efecto rebaño especialmente durante este pico pandémico.
“Si vacunamos a dos millones de personas a la semana, para final de año estaremos alcanzando la inmunidad de rebaño”, concluyó.
