Francisco Javier Cárdenas, es un joven músico venezolano de 13 años de edad, que recientemente interpretó el himno de Estados Unidos con su guitarra eléctrica en la National Basketball Association (NBA), en el estadio de Houston Rockets.
En conversación con Adelita Sánchez para el programa Sin Mucho Protocolo, transmitido por Onda 91.5 FM La Superestación, contó que recibió la invitación unos días antes de la celebración de la noche latina en la NBA, debido a que forma parte del grupo “G3 Gibson Generation Group”, una agrupación de niños y jóvenes con talentos musicales que cuentan con el apoyo profesional de esta marca de guitarras, reseñó Unión Radio.
“Durante mi presentación estaba un poco nervioso por el tiempo que tenía para tocar el himno y que además todo saliera bien”, relató.
El joven venezolano nacido en la ciudad de Valencia, estado Carabobo, reside en Houston, Texas, EE.UU., desde 2017, y mostró especial interés por la música con tan sólo cuatro años de edad. No fue hasta un año después que empezó a tocar guitarra.
Comentó que ha tenido la oportunidad de acompañar en escenarios a algunas bandas locales, así como artistas de la talla de Alejandro Sanz, los venezolanos Servando & Florentino y recientemente a la agrupación mexicana Maná.
A su vez, ha compartido entrevistas con grandes del espectáculo como Camilo Egaña del canal de televisión estadounidense CNN y Ellen Degeneres en su show.
“Al mismo tiempo continúo formándome en clases de guitarra y dedicándome a producir mi propio material discográfico. Actualmente tengo tres temas disponibles en todas las plataformas digitales”, destacó.
Los padres de Francisco, Jhoana Montilla y Javier Cárdenas, han contribuido en la formación, desempeño y ánimo de este joven guitarrista. Su papá es músico desde los 11 años de edad, por lo que la música siempre ha estado presente en su vida.
“Él viene cargado de todo ese talento que Dios le regaló, y gracias a su formación a través de ciertos principios y disciplinas para mejores resultados. Es un trabajo en equipo que requiere cumplir horarios y hacer muchos sacrificios”, expresó Jhoana.
Actualmente, Francisco cursa octavo año en Meyerland Performing and Visual Art Middle School, Estados Unidos, donde a diario toma clases de guitarra clásica y piano lo que sin duda lo ha hecho ampliar sus conocimientos musicales.
