El candidato presidencial José Brito, afirmó desde Cumaná, estado Sucre, que el verdadero debate está en la Venezuela profunda junto a la gente, «no en los grandes salones de la capital, ni en pataletas de patarucos».
«A esos que piden debates les digo que vengan conmigo, dejen el miedo y la fanfarronada, el verdadero debate está en la calle junto a la gente.
En este orden de ideas recalcó que el pueblo sencillo, humilde y de a pie, exige dejar de debatirse entre que comida hacer al día, y que medicinas comprar, porque el dinero no le alcanza para más.
«Hoy desde la tierra de Antonio José de Sucre, de Andrés Eloy Blanco y de tantos héroes anónimos que a diario libran una batalla para sobrevivir, les pido la confianza para construir un camino de oportunidad para todos», indicó.
«Nadie sufre por lo que no ve. Es muy fácil hablar desde una oficina en la capital de las necesidades de la gente, sin encontrarse en la Venezuela profunda con un pueblo que pasa hambre y calamidad», manifestó.
Asimismo, señaló que a partir del 28 de julio con el Plan B, la gente va a recuperar su calidad de vida y dejará de dar tumbos para solucionar los problemas más básicos, pero «cotidianos y agónicos».
Dijo que el estado Sucre es uno de los terruños más hermosos y pujantes del país, al tiempo que se comprometió con los pescadores, campesinos, amas de casa, operadores turísticos, choferes de autobús, profesionales y con el pueblo en general, en hacer de Sucre una tierra de oportunidad y del encuentro de Venezuela.
