La intergremial de Salud del estado Zulia acudió a la Gobernación del estado Zulia para entregar un documento en el que exigen a Omar Prieto, jefe del Ejecutivo regional, la vacunación de todo el personal que labora en los centros asistenciales y mejoras en las condiciones de trabajo.
“Hacemos la exigencia para que cumpla con su deber como máxima autoridad del estado y vacune a todo el personal que tenemos laborando en los establecimientos de Salud, como los hemos llamados, nuestros héroes anónimos”, explicó Hania Salazar, presidenta del colegio de Enfermería de la región.
La gremialista manifestó su preocupación por el aumento, especialmente de los médicos y enfermeras, fallecidos tras contraer el virus del COVID-19.
“Día a día mueren por cumplir el deber profesional y no queremos que se nos sigan muriendo por falta de vacunas y falta de condiciones y medioambiente laboral porque las condiciones en las que se encuentran los hospitales no son las óptimas y no son las mejores”, aseguró Salazar.
Indicó que también observaron un agotamiento físico y mental muy alto debido al déficit de personal.
“Tenemos casos, por ejemplo, en el caso de enfermería, un profesional para 25 y 30 pacientes”, lo cual hace “imposible cumplir con el deber profesional de salvar vidas, por el contrario, esto lo que nos va a traer son consecuencias mayores y el retiro de estos profesionales por motivo de agotamiento físico y mental”, denunció la dirigente.
Recordó que este plan debe ser extensivo a los familiares de quienes laboran en los centros de salud, pues existe el riesgo que ese personal llegue a su hogar con virus latente y contagie a quienes viven con él.
