Control Ciudadano para la seguridad, la defensa y la Fuerza Armada Nacional elaboró un nuevo informe titulado Venezuela: Los 30 políticos y militares más influyentes en la Fuerza Armada Nacional, que revela la pérdida de influencia de algunos actores políticos, como Nicolás Maduro, sobre el sector castrense.
“Del resultado de este informe es relevante la pérdida de influencia de Nicolás Maduro, pero también de Diosdado Cabello sobre la Fuerza Armada Nacional. También es relevante como, de la valoración y selección realizada, no aparecen políticos o militares (retirados) opositores, quienes han perdido influencia sobre la Fuerza Armada Nacional, desde que se realizó la primera medición por parte de Control Ciudadano, en marzo de 2017”, señala Rocío San Miguel, Presidenta de Control Ciudadano.
Se valoraron treinta políticos y militares venezolanos y su influencia sobre la FANB, a partir de su autoridad, trayectoria vinculada a la Fuerza Armada, carisma, percepción de su liderazgo para dirigir la FANB y su capacidad de producir cambios sobre la institución militar con su accionar.
En el informe se analiza también: ¿Cuál es el rol político actual y los desafíos de la Fuerza Armada Nacional?
Control Ciudadano considera que el “fortalecimiento del poder militar”, primera de las tres líneas estratégicas trazada a partir de 2004, por la Fuerza Amada Nacional, para garantizar la defensa integral de la Nación, mermó cuantitativa y cualitativamente.
“Debido a la falta de recursos económicos, los principales planes de requipamiento se encuentran estancados desde hace, al menos, cinco años, así́ como los programas de mantenimiento mayor y recuperación de materiales, salvo contadas excepciones. A la paralización de los suministros de equipos y repuestos por los proveedores, incluyendo algunos “aliados estratégicos”, se suman las sanciones y vetos internacionales a la transferencia de armas a Venezuela, también como consecuencia a la situación venezolana”, destaca el informe.
Preocupa, además, a Control Ciudadano, que mientras persista la utilización de la Fuerza Armada Nacional como principal medio para el control del poder en Venezuela, lo cual incluye la instrumentalización del elemento partidista – ideológico de la institución, no existe posibilidad alguna de iniciar un proceso para su reinstitucionalización y profesionalización.
