El ciclón Enrique se intensificó en las últimas horas y alcanzó la categoría 1 de huracán frente a las costas del estado de Colima, en el Pacífico mexicano, informó este sábado el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN).
«Enrique continuara intensificándose mientras se desplaza al sur de las costas de Colima. Las bandas nubosas de este sistema producen lluvias intensas a torrenciales sobre el occidente y sur del país», apuntó en el SMN en su más reciente reporte.
A las 07.15 horas (12.15 GMT), la formación se ubicaba a 230 kilómetros al sur-sureste de Punta San Telmo, Michoacán, y a 265 kilómetros al sur de Manzanillo, Colima.
Se mueve hacia el oeste-noroeste a 13 kilómetros por hora, con vientos sostenidos de 120 kilómetros por hora y rachas de 150 kilómetros por hora.
Debido a su actividad, se esperan lluvias intensas a puntuales torrenciales (150,1 a 250 mm) en Michoacán y Guerrero, lluvias muy fuertes con lluvias puntuales intensas (75,1 a 150 mm) en Jalisco y Colima y lluvias fuertes con lluvias puntuales muy fuertes (50,1 a 75 mm) en Nayarit.
«Las lluvias podrían estar acompañadas de descargas eléctricas, fuertes vientos y posible caída de granizo, además de incrementar los niveles de ríos y arroyos, deslaves e inundaciones en zonas bajas de terreno», precisó el reporte.
Las autoridades llamaron a la población a extremar precauciones en las zonas de los estados mencionados por lluvias, viento y oleaje (incluyendo la navegación marítima) y atender las recomendaciones emitidas por las autoridades de Protección Civil./EFE
