Los sargentos Wilmer Ferrebus, Santiago Reyes Farfán, Andy José Miranda y Ronald José Marcano Castillo, son solo algunos de los nombres de los jóvenes venezolanos que cayeron en Apure, defendiendo su patria, así lo creyeron ellos, mientras blandían sus armas en la frontera y hasta sus últimos segundos de vida. Igual fatalidad corrieron, el teniente Santos y los sargentos Lira y Pérez López, cuyos cuerpos no han podido recuperar.
Pero el régimen no lloró sus muertes, ninguno de ellos reconoció su valor, ni se les rindió honores por haber caído en batalla, solos sus familiares y amigos, quienes han sufrido el viacrucis y la angustia de no saber de los suyos y de no recibir información clara y precisa sobre la ubicación de los cuerpos y las circunstancias de sus muertes.
Y mientras estos cuatro soldados venezolanos yacían en sus féretros, en el Salón Elíptico de la Asamblea Nacional, el régimen rendía honores a Aristóbulo Isturiz, hasta le dieron un ascenso miliciano y capilla ardiente, sólo por el hecho de ser un servil y secuaz de todas las fechorías de Nicolás Maduro, ese, en realidad, fue su único mérito en vida.
En ese suntuoso salón no faltaron las hipócritas lágrimas, ni los impecables y elegantes trajes formales de cerrado luto, todos sus cómplices del régimen estaban allí dando trato de héroe a quien se ocupó de maltratar y mancillar a los maestros y docentes venezolanos. Esa fue la orden de Nicolás Maduro, y así se ocuparon de cumplirla, armar un show alrededor del muerto, para tratar de tapar lo que para ellos fue la vergonzosa muerte de soldados venezolanos.
Fue una evidente la estrategia del régimen venezolano para ocultar que la guerrilla colombiana, específicamente las FARC de Gentil Duarte, habría asesinado a por lo menos nueve militares, aunque hasta ahora han entregado 12 cuerpos, de los cuales, algunos de ellos, no han podido ser reconocidos por el estado de descomposición.
Y es que la opacidad del régimen respecto a la situación de Apure es tal que llevar el registro de muertes y violaciones a los Derechos Humanos se ha convertido en una tarea casi imposible, y lo poco que se ha logrado levantar ha sido gracias al trabajo valiente y sostenido de Marino Alvarado de la ONG PROVEA y de Javier Tarazona de FUNDAREDES.
A ellos debemos la develación de verdades en esa zona de guerra. En las redes de Alvarado podemos leer, por ejemplo, hechos como los siguientes:
“Información extraoficial indica que 12 integrantes de la #FANB fallecieron en recientes enfrentamientos con presuntos guerrilleros. Desde la masacre de Cararabo el 25.02.1995 (8 asesinados) no se conocía de un acontecimiento donde fallecieran tantos militares un mismo día. De confirmarse esta lamentable noticia, se elevaría a 32 el número de militares muertos en el contexto de enfrentamientos con grupos armados irregulares en #Apure desde septiembre de 2020″
Por su parte Javier Tarazona se ocupó de informar al mundo lo siguiente: “Hoy lunes 26 de abril a las 9:20pm se conoce de nuevos ataques en El Ripial estado Apure, cercano a la Victoria, al menos 3 explosiones, bombardeos y ráfagas continuas de disparos reportan desde esta zona en conflicto».
Y no debemos dejar de mencionar la acuciosa participación del periodista Gustavo Azocar quien además reveló el pasado 24 de abril de 2021 lo siguiente:
“Guerrilla de las FARC-EP dio de baja a 4 militares venezolanos en Apure hoy sábado 24 de abril de 2021. Atacaron a un convoy en el sector conocido como La Capilla. Hay varios militares heridos que están siendo trasladados al hospital militar de San Cristóbal”, a lo que añadió: “El atentado a los soldados venezolanos en La Capilla, población del municipio Páez de Apure, «fue ejecutado por el décimo frente de las FARC-EP, dirigido por Fabián Guevara Carrascal, alias Ferley González, y Jorge Elíecer Jiménez Martínez, alias Arturo, quienes controlan ríos Arauca y Matiyure”.
Pero lo curioso y deprimente de todo ello, es que mientras agonizaban nuestros soldados en Apure, el fantoche de Vladimir Padrino, ministro de Defensa de Nicolás Maduro aseguraba en twitter que la situación estaba controlada. Y justo el día antes, las redes oficialistas lanzaron una campaña en redes con el lema «Victoria en el Alto Apure».
Ellos no los lloran, pero los venezolanos si, los venezolanos lloramos y valoramos la valentía de esos jóvenes soldados que perdieron la vida defendiendo a su país en una guerra que ha sido propiciada por su mismo comandante en jefe.
A todos los soldados caídos en el cumplimiento de su deber, nuestro respeto y a todos sus familiares, nuestras palabras de condolencia. Con estas palabras hoy rendimos tributo a los caídos, a esos que el régimen les dio la espalda. Paz a sus almas.
