Tenía heridas en la cara, que se cree que se debieron a un accidente automovilístico la semana pasada en Cunupia. Parecía estar sufriendo y no hablaba.
Gonzales recordó que el martes alrededor de las 11 am, una pariente vio a Gabriella sentada en el borde de la carretera al sol en Princes Town. Tenía la cabeza inclinada hacia adelante y el cabello cubría su rostro.
A la madre le dijeron que había una bolsa al lado de Gabriella con una receta y otros documentos sellados de un hospital. Los transeúntes miraban a la niña, que parecía estar aturdida.
La pariente, que acababa de salir de un supermercado, dejó caer las bolsas en sus manos y corrió a abrazar a Gabriella.
El familiar metió a la niña en un taxi y la llevó a su casa, en otra parte de Moruga, y se comunicó con la familia.
El miércoles, González llevó a Gabriella al centro de salud de Moruga. Los miembros del personal, dijo González, sugirieron que la familia la llevara al Hospital General de San Fernando para recibir atención adicional.
La niña también visitó la comisaría de Moruga. El viernes, González denunció la desaparición de su hija a la policía de St. Joseph.
