El Gobierno venezolano conmemoró este viernes los 191 años de la muerte de Simón Bolívar, quien contribuyó a la independencia de Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panamá, Perú y Venezuela, donde es recordado y reconocido como el Libertador.
El ministro de Interior y Justicia, Remigio Ceballos, encabezó un acto desde el Panteón Nacional en Caracas, junto al contralor general, Elvis Amoroso, y la ministra de Educación, Yelitze Santaella, reseñó EFE.
«El general en jefe Simón Bolívar, el Libertador, quien para su tiempo pudo haber sido considerado como un pensador humanista, también inauguró con su acción y con su prédica un nuevo tiempo, derribando también un gran imperio mundial como lo fue el imperio español en América», expresó Ceballos en el acto transmitido por el canal estatal Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
Nicolás Maduro, quien no estuvo presente en la ceremonia, expresó en Twitter que Bolívar «rompió las cadenas imperiales para alcanzar la independencia».
«Conmemoramos 191 años del paso a la inmortalidad de nuestro padre Simón Bolívar, el héroe que rompió las cadenas imperiales para alcanzar la independencia de los pueblos de la patria grande. Hoy Bolívar sigue cabalgando con fuerza y grandeza».
Asimismo, el ministro de Defensa, Vladimir Padrino López, dijo en la misma red social que en Simón Bolívar se encuentra la «inspiración, la fortaleza y las respuestas» que ayudan «a vencer hoy».
«Un día como hoy cuando Colombia cumplía otro año de su génesis fundacional, el libertador partió del plano terrenal a su gloria inmortal. En Bolívar encontraremos la inspiración, la fortaleza y las respuestas que nos ayuden a vencer hoy. ¡Bolívar está vivo!», dijo.
