El Gobernador del estado Zulia, Omar Prieto Fernández, mantiene la dotación de insumos y medicamentos a los centros de salud público para garantizar atención sanitaria de calidad. En tal sentido la Autoridad Única de Salud Omaira Prieto recibió en la Proveeduría Regional por parte del ejecutivo nacional un lote de equipamiento médico que será distribuido en los hospitales de la entidad.
Al respecto, la titular de salud describió parte de los equipos que llegaron al Zulia entre los que mencionó un analizador de coagulación sanguínea que es usado en las áreas de emergencia, unidad otorrinolaringológica que pulveriza y permite la inhalación, recogimiento de la mucosa nasal, hemorragia nasal y anestesia previa a la operación.
Resaltó el arribo de un laparoscopia y el equipo de urología endoscópica que permite el diagnóstico y tratamiento de estas áreas. A su vez dijo que llegaron la entidad; ORL de pared, otoscopios, tensiómetros, oxímetros de pulso, termómetros digitales e infrarrojos para el área pediátrica en los ambulatorios.
Asimismo, Omaira Prieto destacó el envío de insulina y glucómetros que serán coordinados junto a BanZulia para comenzar el despliegue y entrega Casa a Casa a quienes padecen de diabetes.
La primera autotidad de la regióno señaló que estas acciones forman parte de los trabajos para reforzar y robustecer el sistema de salud que ahora contará con 10 millones de jeringas que serán elaboradas en la única planta fabricadora de este insumo en América Latina, ubicada en el municipio Miranda.
Prieto se refirió al avance del Plan Quirúrgico Carabobo 200 al informar acerca de la ejecución de operaciones de vesícula y hernias inguinales en este recinto de salud. También afirmó que desde que comenzó la aplicación del Plan se han hecho 400 operaciones, incrementando a 30 cirugías semanales con la incorporación de otras patologías.
