Este lunes 21 de junio fue reportado a través de las redes sociales el hallazgo de una nueva pista clandestina y en sus inmediaciones una aeronave calcinada que era usada, presuntamente, para el tráfico de drogas.
La operación militar se realizó en el marco del ”Ejercicio de Acción Conjunta e Integral «Escudo Bolivariano Comandante Supremo Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías», en la que participaron casi 100 efectivos militares integrantes del Destacamento de Comandos Rurales 119 y 123BCCCS del Ejército Bolivariano.
Fermín Ulisse, comandante de la GNB-Zulia, informó de manera detallada que la nueva pista fue hallada en la jurisdicción del municipio Jesús María Semprún, tras verificar información suministrada por el Comando de Defensa Aeroespacial Integral quien alertó de posible neutralización de una aeronave en pista no autorizada.
«Inmediatamente se activó un operativo especial, por ser una zona inhóspita y se encontró en el sitio una pista no autorizada, ubicada en las coordenadas 9°02’34N, 72°40’48″W, la cuál posee una longitud aproximada de 30 metros de ancho por 2400 metros de largo. En la misma se localizó 1 aeronave neutralizada» detalló el General Fermín.
La aeronave es presuntamente de siglas mexicanas y se encontraba calcinada en un 85 % de su totalidad.
Hasta la fecha se han inhabilitado cerca de 30 pistas no autorizadas y 18 aeronaves usadas para el tráfico de sustancias estupefacientes y psicotrópicas.
Se efectuó y mantiene patrullaje rural de búsqueda y escudriñamiento en el sector El Tibí del municipio Jesús María Semprún para dar con los responsables de esta actividad ilícita.
