Un futbolista profesional de Gambia ha sido acusado de emplear un identidad falsa para burlar la legislación migratoria de Alemania.
Fiscales alemanes informaron el lunes que Bakery Jatta, un delantero que fichó con Hamburgo en 2016, realmente se llama Bakary Daffeh y es dos años y medio mayor a la edad de 23 que declaró. Fue imputado por cuatro infracciones de la ley de inmigración y por presentar documentos falsos mediante un apoderado.
El abogado de Jatta, Thomas Bliwier, dijo a la agencia noticiosa dpa, que su cliente “ha confirmado plenamete su identidad” y pedirá que el caso sea desestimado.
Según la fiscalía, Jatta llegó a Alemania en 2015 sin pasaporte y presentó una fecha de nacimiento que indicaba que era menor de 18 años, y que por lo tanto entraba en la categoría de refugiado infante y que debía recibir protección legal extra. Fichó con Hamburgo en 2016 tras una prueba, haciéndose notar como un jugador refugiado en la Bundesliga. Jatta ha disputado todos los partidos de Hamburgo en la segunda división esta temporada.
La fiscalía mencionó que Jatta previamente jugó con “varios clubes africanos” con el apellido Daffeh, y que tras su arribo en Alemania obtuvo documentación de Gambia con la identificación de Jatta.
