Expresidente afgano tras abandonar el país: «Los talibanes están aquí para atacar todo Kabul»

El expresidente de Afganistán, Ashraf Ghani, declaró que decidió renunciar a su cargo y marcharse del país para «evitar un derramamiento de sangre», tras la llegada de los talibanes a Kabul.

«Los talibanes lo hicieron para sacarme, están aquí para atacar todo Kabul y a la gente de Kabul», escribió el exmandatario en su página en Facebook. «Para evitar un derramamiento de sangre, pensé que lo mejor era irme», continuó.

Desde el movimiento han anunciado este domingo que controlan todo el territorio afgano.

A su vez, el presidente del Consejo Supremo de Reconciliación Nacional de Afganistán, Abdullah Abdullah, se refirió a Ashraf Ghani como «expresidente» del país y afirmó que este ha abandonado el territorio afgano. «El expresidente se ha ido de Afganistán, dejando al pueblo en esta situación, Dios le haga responsable, y el pueblo tendrá su juicio sobre él», dijo.

Además, pidió a la población que mantenga la calma y agregó que espera que este «día y noche difíciles» pasen pronto y que las personas vean días de paz.

Unas horas antes, el ministro de Defensa en funciones, Bismillah Khan Mohammadi, declaró que el presidente cedió el poder a los líderes políticos para resolver la crisis del país. Detalló que una delegación, que incluye a políticos clave, como Younus Qanooni, Ahmad Wali Massoud y Mohammad Mohaqiq, viajará el próximo lunes a Doha, capital de Catar, para mantener conversaciones sobre la situación de la nación.
