Estoniana Anett Kontaveit se impone en el torneo WTA de Cleveland

La estoniana Anett Kontaveit, segunda favorita, se impuso este sábado a la rumana Irina Begu en la final del torneo de tenis de la WTA de Cleveland, informó AFP.

Kontaveit dispuso de Begu en sets corridos de 7-6 (7/5), 6-4 en una hora y 56 minutos.

La estonia entró al torneo de Cleveland tras cuatro derrotas este año en la primera ronda.

Para Kontaveit también fue su tercera final de la temporada después del Grampians Trophy de Melbourne y Eastbourne a principio de año. Su récord en finales ahora es de 2-5.

Por su parte, Begu, de 31 años, llegó a su octava final de su carrera en diez años, con un récord parejo en esa instancia de 4-4. AFP
