La causa oficial de la muerte del príncipe Felipe, duque de Edimburgo, fue su edad avanzada, informa este martes The Telegraph, que tuvo acceso al certificado de defunción del esposo de la reina británica Isabel II.
El diario señala que se permite usar el término “edad avanzada” como causa del fallecimiento si la persona difunta tenía más de 80 años y un médico cuidaba de él durante un largo período y observaba un empeoramiento gradual de su estado. La muerte del Duque fue certificada por el jefe de los médicos de la familia real, Sir Huw Thomas.
De esta manera, el certificado sugiere que el príncipe Felipe no tenía ninguna enfermedad que podría haber causado su muerte.
El príncipe Felipe falleció el pasado 9 de abril a los 99 años en el Castillo de Windsor.
En marzo, se sometió a una cirugía al corazón después de sufrir un problema cardíaco y ser hospitalizado por precaución.
