Por lo que en la actualidad, la ex pareja que tiene 7 hijos: Maddox de 19; Zahara, 16; Pay, 17; Shiloh, 14 los gemelos Knox y Vivienne de 12, continúa con la disputa legal de la custodia de los menores.
“Él no usa a Pitt como su apellido en documentos que no son legales y en su lugar usa a Jolie. Maddox quiere cambiar legalmente su apellido a Jolie, lo que Angelina ha dicho que no apoya”.
Todas estas fricciones entre Maddox y Brad Pitt se remontan a 2016, un poco antes de que Angelina Jolie comenzara a realizar los trámites de divorcio con el actor. Pues, una de las causas por las que se supuso que habían originado la ruptura, fue debido a una violenta disputa entre Jolie, Brad y su hijo.
El hecho ocurrió el miércoles 14 de septiembre de dicho año, cuando la familia retornaba en un jet privado a Los Ángeles luego de una estadía en Francia. Allí, los relatos de cómo ocurrió el supuesto “abuso físico” son variados, pero concluyen en los mismo: Pitt habría golpeado al mayor de sus hijos, Maddox, de 15 años.
Según consigna el portal TMZ, las versiones varían según el testigo que las cuente, aunque todas son concluyentes acerca del accionar del multipremiado actor. La primera de ellas refiere a que el menor se interpuso entre ambos en defensa de su madre cuando estos comenzaron a discutir apenas el avión despegó. Esto habría enfurecido a Pitt, quien arremetió contra su hijo. En ese momento, Angelina intentó bloquear la embestida, sin lograrlo, aparentemente.
La segunda de las versiones, en cambio, dice que el ataque de furia del artista se produjo como consecuencia de la conducta de Maddox en la aeronave. El adolescente habría comenzado a hacer de las suyas y que esto provocó la reacción de su padre. Otra de las versiones indicaría que Brad Pitt habría golpeado a su hijo, pero sin intención.
Después del incidente, el actor fue absuelto por el Departamento de Servicios para Niños y Familias del Condado de Los Ángeles, tras no poder constatar el hecho, que supuestamente había sucedido durante una discusión con su hijo Maddox.
