En las últimas 24 horas, cinco personas fallecieron por la covid-19 en Venezuela, con lo que la cifra total desde el inicio de la pandemia subió hasta las 5.234 muertes, informó este sábado la vicepresidenta ejecutiva, Delcy Rodríguez.
«Lamentablemente, hoy cinco venezolanos fallecieron a causa del coronavirus», escribió Rodríguez en su cuenta de Twitter, donde detalló que una de las personas fallecidas era de Caracas, otra del estado Falcón y otra de Lara, reseñó EFE.
La lista la completan un hombre del estado andino de Mérida y una mujer del céntrico Yaracuy.
De otro lado, Rodríguez anunció que las autoridades han detectado en las últimas 24 horas un total de 774 nuevos contagios en el país, todos ellos por transmisión comunitaria.
Monagas es el estado con más casos nuevos, 176, de los que 154 fueron detectados en la capital, Maturin, 14 en el municipio Cedeño, dos en Acosta, dos en Ezequiel Zamora, uno en Piar, uno en Caripe, uno en Bolívar y uno en Aguasay.
Por detrás se ubica el estado Lara (163), que precede a Zulia (156), Barinas (48), Guárico (46), Carabobo (44), Miranda (32), Caracas (24), Yaracuy (21), Sucre (18), Apure (16), La Guaira (14), Portuguesa (12) y Falcón (4).
De este modo, Venezuela llegó a 437.887 casos confirmados por las autoridades desde el inicio de la pandemia, si bien 425.573 pacientes ya se han recuperado (el 97 % del total), con lo que hay actualmente 7.080 casos activos.
