«Expreso mi preocupación por las tensiones y enfrentamientos violentos en Colombia que han provocado muchos muertos y heridos», dijo Francisco, quien saludó a las varias decenas de colombianos que hoy acudieron con banderas de su país a la plaza de San Pedro.
A ellos, Francisco les dijo: «Rezamos por vuestra patria».
Los colombianos salieron este sábado de nuevo a la calle, en la undécima jornada de protestas contra el Gobierno de Iván Duque.
Las movilizaciones sociales comenzaron pidiendo la caída de la ya retirada reforma tributaria, pero ahora han abierto el abanico a muchas otras demandas que incluyen la caída del Gobierno de Duque y acabar con la brutalidad policial.
Al menos 27 personas han muerto durante las jornadas, según informaron el viernes la Fiscalía y la Defensoría en un documento en el que aclararon que de esos fallecidos 11 están vinculados directamente con los hechos, siete están «en verificación» y hay nueve que no tienen relación con las protestas.
