La Diócesis de Maturín está de júbilo debido a la ordenación presbiteral de cinco nuevos sacerdotes que se desarrolló el pasado sábado a las 10:00 de la mañana en la Catedral Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Maturín.
La información la dio a conocer el párroco de la Catedral, padre Samael Gamboa quien manifestó la alegría de la Diócesis por haber ordenado a estos nuevos cinco sacerdotes para nuestra entidad, tras cumplir ocho años de estudios y una ardua formación en el Seminario San Pablo Apóstol.
Los nuevos sacerdotes recibieron el segundo grado del Orden Sacerdotal, por imposición de manos y oración consecratoria de Monseñor Enrique Pérez Lavado, Obispo de Maturín.
“Fueron ordenados los diáconos Gabriel León, Cristian Rondón, José Benito Rondón, Héctor Díaz y Adrián Barreto. En este día también se confirió el Sagrado Ministerio del Lectorado y Acolitado a los seminaristas Héctor Arce, Francisco Yépez y Kebis Pérez. La ceremonia se enmarcó en el cierre del año Jubilar Vocacional de la Diócesis de Maturín, donde todos los jóvenes de fe cristiana católica están llamados a discernir su vocación y sumarse al servicio de Dios desde la vida consagrada”.
Orden sacerdotal
La misa especial de Ordenación Presbiteral que se celebró a casa llena en la Catedral de Maturín fue oficiada por el Obispo de la Diócesis, Monseñor Enrique Pérez Lavado, con el respaldo del clero diocesano y los sacerdotes de otras diócesis hermanas.
Monseñor Pérez Lavado exhortó a los nuevos sacerdotes a llevar una vida de santidad en estos tiempos de transformación, para que puedan mantenerse firmes en su vocación y ser un ejemplo en el seno de sus comunidades, para acompañarlas en su andar de ahora en adelante.
En la misa de ordenación presbiteral, el momento crucial fue el de la postración en el suelo al tiempo que se invocaba la protección de los santos a los nuevos sacerdotes.
El Obispo de Maturín pidió la presencia del Espíritu Santo sobre los nuevos sacerdotes mediante la oración consagratoria e impuso las manos a cada uno para posteriormente, untarles en las manos el aceite crismal que simboliza la unión a Cristo y a la Iglesia, una ceremonia que será inolvidable para los nuevos cinco sacerdotes y para sus emocionados familiares que estuvieron presentes y les desearon éxito en este camino que decidieron elegir.
Estos cinco jóvenes consagraron su vida a Dios.
