Una operación internacional logró liberar en España a seis víctimas de explotación sexual y detuvo en este país, en Colombia y en Países Bajos a siete supuestos miembros de una red acusada de captar en Colombia y Venezuela a mujeres en situación vulnerable para obligarlas a prostituirse en Europa.
Según informó este martes la Policía española, cinco de las detenciones se produjeron en España, en Madrid, Valencia y Salamanca, la ciudad donde fueron liberadas las víctimas, una en Ámsterdam y otra en Bogotá, reseñó EFE.
Los detenidos están acusados de trata de seres humanos con fines de explotación sexual, pertenencia a organización criminal, contra los derechos de los ciudadanos extranjeros y relativos a la prostitución, según detalló en un comunicado.
La red empleaba “una amplia red de colaboradores asentados en Colombia y Venezuela, quienes recibían una contraprestación económica de 500 euros por cada víctima captada” con falsas promesas de un viaje turístico para acceder al espacio Schengen, de acuerdo a la Policía.
Una vez que llegaban a Europa, a capitales como Madrid, Lisboa, París o Ámsterdam, la organización reclamaba por el viaje una supuesta deuda de entre 6.000 y 8.000 euros, que obligaba a saldar prostituyéndose en distintas ciudades europeas, explicó.
Algunas de ellas viajaban desde Bogotá y otras desde otros lugares de América, pero al llegar a Europa eran sometidas a un “control absoluto” y “una servidumbre que se perpetuaba a la par que su deuda”, añadió esta fuente.
